Meet Your Vice Chairs: Jolie Leung


 Hey delegates!
My name is Jolie, and I am one of the Vice Chairs for UNICEF! I am super excited to be a part of this committee and hear about all your cool ideas! This is my third year in BMUN, and I have been a vice-chair for DISEC and SPECPOL the last few years. I'm a third-year at Cal studying Political Science and Political Economy, and I enjoy learning about any related topics! Outside of BMUN, I also participate in political science research as an Undergraduate Fellow at the Center for Political Development and the Institute for International Studies at UC Berkeley. I spend my free time rock climbing, sunset watching, hiking, biking, and road-tripping to Lake Tahoe (as pictured above). I can't wait to meet you all!

Hi Delegates! My name is Annalise Fox and I will be a head chair for UNICEF this year! I am currently senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Global Studies and minoring in Early Learning & Development Science, Public Policy, and Education. I have been doing MUN now for 8 years and have loved every minute! I hope to give you guys as a great of an experience as I had as a delegate when I went to BMUN. On campus, aside from BMUN, I work with Americorps as a teacher at a Head Start preschool for children under the poverty line in Oakland and as a Teacher's Assistant at the Berkeley Early Childhood Education Program. I am also a Research Assistant in the Zhou Family and Culture Lab currently researching the impact of being bilingual on socio-emotional development.   Outside of school I love baking, birdwatching, crocheting, and watching hockey. I'm also an avid hiker and hope to soon visit all the national parks (I only have 9 left woo!). I can't wait to see you all at BMUN 68!

Blog Expectations

Delegates, I know most conferences do not have blogs so I just wanted to give you all some information about what you can expect from us and what we expect from you on the blog!  As far as what you can expect from us, there will be posts from each topic every week. These posts will include important and interesting articles. They are great to read to prepare you for conference as well as provide you with important additional research! These are hand selected by our dais and will steer you in the right direction as far as what we expect to discuss in committee.   In addition to posts on the topic, I will be giving you logistical information for the conference (technology policy, position paper information) as well as advice as on how to best be prepared for conference.
