Hi everyone!  My name is Tess U-Vongcharoen and I am one of your vice-chairs for UNICEF. I am a first-year student studying Data Science with a possible minor in Statistics. Outside of BMUN, I love to swim and explore the best local eats to post on my food Instagram. I was a delegate at BMUN in high school, so I am so excited to be returning as a chair. This is a great opportunity to learn and have fun; don't stress too much. I hope you all have an amazing time at BMUN and I can't wait to meet everyone!

BMUN is in Two Weeks! Get Ready!

Hello Delegates! Berkeley Model United Nations LXVII is less than two weeks away! Your positions papers are turned in. You've done your research! What now? Here are some general and committee tips and tricks! The first thing we want to emphasize to you, the delegates, is that Berkeley Model United Nations prides itself in creating environments for learning and growth . We are all here to support you in this learning process so do not be afraid to ask questions! As soon as y'all receive your position paper grades and comments, take some time to look through what we have written in the comments! There is always room for improvement (and for now, time!) to make your proposed solutions the best that they can be. Some good questions you and your partner should be thinking about: How can we communicate our proposed solutions in a clear and easily understood way? How can we do this in a 1 minute 30 second speech? How can we do this in a 30 second moderated caucus? What opposition can...

Blog Expectations

Delegates, I know most conferences do not have blogs so I just wanted to give you all some information about what you can expect from us and what we expect from you on the blog!  As far as what you can expect from us, there will be posts from each topic every week. These posts will include important and interesting articles. They are great to read to prepare you for conference as well as provide you with important additional research! These are hand selected by our dais and will steer you in the right direction as far as what we expect to discuss in committee.   In addition to posts on the topic, I will be giving you logistical information for the conference (technology policy, position paper information) as well as advice as on how to best be prepared for conference. These posts will help you understand  how we expect committee to run and  what we are looking for in a delegate.  As far as what we expect from you, we hope the blog will be a valuable resourc...
